A book worth reading.

The Inkheart trilogy has been one of my favourites, ever since I read the first book way back in grade six. I absolutely love fantasy and adventure, and this book is perfect for just that.

I tend to wonder, when reading the book, how Cornelia Funke came up with the idea for this story. I guess that's one of the things I really like about it. It has a uniqueness about it that a lot of other books don't have.

It nice to read about an average book lover like ourselves, instead of a fantastic hero with gleaming golden hair, and shimmering teeth. I also enjoyed how one of the villains had such an obvious weakness: Basta's superstition and fear of fire is great comic relief in a seemingly hopeless situation. It really adds depth to a character who could have been so easily made steriotypical.

If you are a great fantasy lover, like me, this is a definite book for you to try. But just be aware: this book is to be devoured. Do not try to savour every word, for you will not get anywhere if you do.
