This is the final book in the Harry Potter series. It follows the travels of Harry, Hermione, and Ron as the try to destroy all of Voldemorts horcruxes (in the sixth book, we find that the dark wizard had split his soul into seven peices, in the hope of making himself immortal), before he gains control of the wizarding world. Personally, I think that this is one of the best books in the series. I love how every, little detail really tied together in the end. My advice is to have read the other six books first, because othersiwe it will be difficult to understand. Very suspenseful, and hard to put down. I read it all in one go!!!!

This book was really good, and a good ending for the series. After all of the writing and time J.K. Rowling has put into these books she finished the series with a book that is just as good as the others, and adds an interesting twist. I have read the whole series and enjoyed the whole thing. Now I just can't wait for the movies to come out they're gonna be so good( butnot as good as the books)!!!!

Deathly Hallows was an amazing ending to a great series! Although the main objective in this book was to find the remainder of Voldemort's Horcruxes, the climactic battle between Harry and Voldemort didn't fail to impress. At the end, Rowling also includes a 19 years later fast-forward which is pretty good to tie up the main loose ends of the novel. I was one of the few who wanted Harry to die in the most meaningful way, and I somewhat go my wish, even though not completely. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed Deathly Hallows, and am glad to be done with the series. The themes of love, friendship, evil and good are differentiated and expressed very vividly at the end, especially in "The Forest" chapter. I would recommend this book, along with the rest of the series (if you are one of not many people who hasn't read of heard of the series) to anybody who likes fantasy and adventure stories.

I really enjoyed this last of the Harry Potter series, the suspense was killer!  However, I thought Harry became a little too perfect, and Dumbledore was rather antagonizing.  I also found it rather... odd... that wands changed hands so often.  But I guess wands were kind of a main part of this one, as Voldemort fights to find a wand that will defeat Harry.  It was neat, for me, to see more of Ron and Hermione, but I was disappointed to see so little of Luna.  :D  Harry "dying" and coming back though, that really annoyed me- I mean, Rowling should choose one or the other!  and the end was kind of a rip-off, I think, although quite unexpected.  I never thought Ron and Hermione could work it out to stay together for a long time, and I was a little ticked off to see that the last sentence was "all was well."  Overall, though, I did enjoy this book and recommend it to my friends (if they haven't read it).

I love, love, love how J.K. Rowling managed to pull off this book. She manages to bring incredible realism to the situation, the strained relationships, the impossiblilities of the Golden Trio's task, the complexities of the characters. Possible my favorite part was how J.K. Rowling shows the Golden Trio while they are traveling looking for horcruxes. The fact that all is not a walk in the park is brilliant and completely called for. If you miss this book, you've missed out.

I'd say.. it's average. My favourite one out of the whole series would still be the first one.. i don't know why.. i guess first things always contain the best stuff. The ending was not what i had expected... or what i hoped would happen.. but hey, it still isn't half bad! I won't spoil anything... but I guess people will have to read for themselves ! This was the first series I have ever tried to read, that was in Fantasy. I mean, goblins, dragons, magic?! It wasn't my genre.. but in the end, I loved all the power and magic spells... it was like a form of my world transformation where I didn't have to relate to anything... 3.5 / 5 !

I'm not a big fan of hp, but I decided to read the last book, and it maked no sense at all to me, seeing as I didn't read the others but in the end my bro gave me a full summary and answered my questions.  I loved the ending, I was so happy for Harry,Ron and Hermione. Anyways, obviously people will be saying its an amazing series, so there's nothing stopping you! Go pick up the HP series and read it till the end so you're not confused like I was =P The book really gave me a sense of Harry's courage in defeating Voldemort and everything he had to go through with his friends. It was finally over, the series that everyone was ranting about for 8 years, was done.

How J.K Rowling can make another book soo good and tie up the whole story, I don't know. But what I do know is that I was really sad when it hit me that this was the end. It's so bittersweet, Harry gets his happy ever after with Ginny (YAY!) but that means no more books about wizards that;s so gripping and unbelievable incredible. I used to be those people who doesnt want to read books like this because of the lenght but when our teacher asked us to challenge ourselves I read HP philosopher's stone. i couldn't stop ever since and when I finished this book, it was hard to find one just as gripping. GREAT READ.

Alot of people say that this book was so boring and stuff but I disagree. I think that this was one of the best harry potter books because the creativity J.K.Rowling has is crazy. Also because there are the movies I can imagine the scenes that I'm reading in my head played by the characters in the movie. Also I like that J.K Rowling made so many dramatic changes.. there were so many new things introduced in this book and so many interesting changes that I would have never expected -- surprises i mean. Overall I think this is a great book and if you have been following along with the harry potter books its a great ending.

This the the final book in the legendary Harry Potter series, and I have to say, I was not at all disappointed in any way. In this book, the trio doesn't go back to Hogwarts like in the previous books. Instead, they go on a great adventure filled with danger, unknowns and emotions. It seems like there is a climax in every chapter, and every moment in this book is very intense, either physically or emotionally. This book is a lot more fast-paced than the previous books as well. Also, aside from the quest to finding the horcruxes, Hermione and Ron's relationship advances into a whole new level. They have a huge misunderstanding, but everything works out fine in the end, and their "snogging" moment is very sweet. Lastly, the great battle in the end is just amazing, rich with detail and action. All in all, this is a great finale to the Harry Potter series! It's worth all the wait!

In this book, J.K. Rowling put her name in history forever. Has Harry, Ron, and Hermione journey on to finding Horcruxes, all the loose ends are tied together. All the questions are answered with spectacular detail. I love this book. Voldemorts true weakness came out and Harry's true bravery came out. There is a noticable change in the way everyone treats everyone else. What I thought was really cool was how Pro. Snape's life and trustworthiness was put in the book. All in all, Snape was Dumbledores, then Voldemorts, then Dumbledore's, Voldemorts, but in the end Snape helped Harry defeat Voldemort. All of the little things in the other books were answered. They were nothing (like the locket that they through away) but turned out to be something of great importance. This by far th best Harry Potter book out there. :))))

I never thought I would read HP, and I haven't, I've only read the 1st book and now I decided, "oh what the heck", I'll read the last one as well, although my brother had to explain a lot in between to me. I did really like the last book, it was a good end to a great start. Harry has really grown theough the years and he finally accomplishes what he was set out to do for so many years and not to mention, finding romance. Along for the ride, his best friends of course, Ron and Hermoine imbark on this last quest with him, and they too find love. Overall, J.K. Rowling, finished it with everything and more

I loved this book. It is well written and has lots of excitement.  The adventure of Harry and friends will keep you reading into the night and will make it hard to put down. It is sad that it is the last book in the series. I recommend this book to everyone.

J.K. Rowling has truly created a work of art by writing the final book in the rivetiong Harry Potter series. This book was like the cherry on top of a great series. In this book you will fall into step with Harry, Ron and Hermione and anyone else who dare enters their path to finish what dumbledore started. Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy and action are just a few ways out of the many to sum up this book. It truly has all the keys to making a terrific book. enjoy as you flip through this book because you just cant put it down.

This book was simply AMAZING! The twists and turns of the plot turn flawlessly. This book made me smile, laugh and cry in fact I acctually almost didn't finish it beacause it was so real. When a character died it ripped my heart out. But finishng the book was so worth it. You would have never expected for someone like Nevel Longbottom being key to defeating evil.

I can't believe it's the last book of Harry Potter. In this book, they were no longer in Hogwarts...instead of attending school, they were trying to save the whole Wizard World from Voldemort's hand! I loved Ron and Harry Potter's brave actions, and Hermione's great thinking. It's the most exciting ending... It's time to hunt down all the horcruxes!

J K Rowling did it again, I got this book at the midnight opening (2 years ago)... I then proceded to finish the book in several hours. And I loved it. I don't know how she does it, but Ms. Rowling spins Humor, Romance, Action, and Mystery into another book without it being too mushy, cheesy, predictable or boring.  have grown up with these characters and was pleased with the way things turned out. Though I have to say I was dissapointed when some of my favorite charcters died (Snape,  Lupin... etc... :(..) But never the less enjoyed the book thouroghly. J K Rowlong ended the book and series with a spectacular, much awaited bang!

A MUST read :)

Being able to do magic and living in an enchanted world isn't always as good as it sounds... especially when you are Harry Potter, living in a time where he must take on the challenge to defeat a powerful Dark Wizard who is attempting to take over the wizarding world. This book takes you through the last (but not the least in any way) part of Harry's challenging journey accompanied by his two best friends Ron and Hermione. It is an eventful book thas is diffucult to put down and you would be missing out by not picking it up and reading it.

This being the last book of the saga, I admire the plot J.K.Rowling's been scheming, and everything seems to fit nicely together as the last bits of the puzzle are revealed. There were escapes so narrow I found myself engrossed in Harry's mind and I was groping onto the book for dear life. The fact that Harry can still see into Voldemort's mind and share emotions with him was quite the powerful idea. It made me boil with anger, cry out with desperation and soar in euphoria-whatever Harry had felt at the moment. Harry was brave, and somehow, despite the fear of death, he acknowledged the fact that he had to be killed, and Voldemort was to be the murderer, because that would be the only way to destruct the Dark Lord completely. He understood the true meaning of sacrifice. (Of course, he found an alternate ending to his fate.) Although Harry was the hero of the century and many more to come, the bravest man all along was perhaps the much hated Severus Snape. He seems heartless on the outside but on the inside, he's just as innocent and loving as Harry might've been, because what Snape did was out of pure never ending love.

It got me thinking- maybe in all the dark worlds that exist in this universe, all we need to know -all we truly want to know- is that there will always be a light to guide us out.

What a great ending to the series! The first time I read it, I didn't really like it, but when I read it again, I just loved every part of it! The plot was always getting more complicated and there were so many twists with the characters. I loved how J.K. Rowling kept introducing more ideas to the series like the Horocruxes and the Deathly Hallows. It seemed like every chapter added yet another missing piece from the puzzle of Harry Potter but it all seemed to tie together and fill in the gaps pretty well in the end. I thought it was a shock to discover and understand all the things about Harry that had never seemed important before. I found myself liking characters that I normally didn't, and disliking characters that I normally did. Overall, the final Harry Potter was a thrilling adventure that kept me well entertained!

Even though I read it but two years ago, I find myself trying to guess what everyone is going to do. Even though I know the ending, my mind keeps throwing new possibilities out. I believe that this is not how JK Rowling intented her story to end. I believe she grew attached to her characters and couldn't kill them off like she had originally meant to. I do like this book because everything is so well put together and it is a mystery until the very end. Then it finishes. The ending is stupid and I really dislike that part of it; Harry and Voldemort should have both died, Fred should still be alive. How cruel it is to leave one twin standing at the other's grave so young. Is this a satisfying book? I don't know. I am both disapointed and thoroughly contented with this book. Read it; it is for you to decide.

The 7th Harry Potter book is one of the most amazing books I`ve ever read. Everything about this series is amazing; the storyline, the charcters, and all the adventures the charcters go on. Even though I  love this book, I would have to say that there are two parts in the story that stood out the most for me. The first part I can`t tell because it would ruin the story, but the second part is that I love how J.K. Rowling makes the very last chapter about Harry, Ron, Hermoine and Ginny`s life ninteen years later. It shows the reader how they have changed after everything that happend nineteen years before. I think part of the reason why the Harry Potter series is so popular, is because of the amount of work/effort and creativity J.K. Rowling puts into every single book. It is just outstanding, Finally, I recommend this book to people around 10 years and up.

I really enjoyed this last book of Harry Potter and it was one of the best from the series in my opinion. What sort of bothers me not only in the last book but also in some of the other books is the behaviors of the Slytherins...When the battle of Hogwarts was about to commense the Slytherins all chose to run away and desert the castle. I mean what kind of loyalty is that...?! The castle and staff all protected the Slytherins for years and years but they give nothing in return. It's hard for me to believe in the fact that Griffindor and Slytherin used to be friends and shared views. As for Dumbledore's past, I was actually pretty surprised. All throughout the series there was this stereotype that Dumbledore was this holy person who was perfect in everything. However in the last book we're exposed to Dumbledore's true identy and see the mistakes that he made which was pretty fascinating.

A great new--and last-- installment in the harry potter series! I think JK Rowling did a good job wrapping up the series with an exciting last novel, especially under the pressure of millions of fans.  I'm sure most Harry Potter fans were satisfied.

However, I personally didn't really like the last chapter.  I think it would have been better if Rowling had just left off at the characters' current ages, and left their adult lives a mystery.  It will be interesting to see how this last part is adapted into a movie, though.  (Note: I also found the name "Scorpio" a bit silly for Malfoy's child).

However, I don't think this last book "ruins" the enjoyment of the series at all.  It is certainly not disappointing, so Harry Potter fans out there:  read this book! You'll like it, if you liked the previous six.

wow a great way to tie up all the lose ends. It kept me intrigued and i couldn't stop reading. J.K Rowling can't write romance but she sure can pipe out a suspenseful plot. The characters, and imagery were stronger in this book. I would reread this book because there are so many details and plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat.

i love the Harry Potter series and i loved this book, i have read it like 10 times!! so manny things happened! i liked how Rowling revealed every little point and how every thing that happened in the other books happened for a reason. it wasnt just mindless action.
