The Catcher in the Rye

I've read this book twice and both times it never ceases to amaze me. Its one of the most provocative and profound books I've ever encountered. Holden is a very inspirational character. As he transitions into adulthood, you can see the growth that he undergoes throughout his experiences. This book reveals the "phoniness" of the adult world and the value of childhood innocence. I would definitely recommend this book to the more advanced reader looking for an insightful book about the adult world.
